The Challenge
The “PROBIO: web platform that enables predictive models of BIg data in Oncology” project coordinated by the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center S.r.l. – UPMC Italy Srl, with the participation of DATARIVER, ETNA DIGITAL GROWTH, “MODIS CONSULTING SRL”, has obtained funding from the Bi_Rex Call, within the Area 1.3 of “Big Data for the development of predictive models to support medicine of precision in oncology “.
The goal of the project is to integrate radiological images with clinical and laboratory data and apply Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning algorithms to define the response to radiotherapy treatment and personalize the patient’s therapeutic path.
The solution
Thanks to the MOMIS data integration system developed by DataRiver, it will be possible to integrate radiological images with clinical and laboratory data in virtual mode, while preserving the safety of the original data sources.
The integrated data will be made compliant to proceed with processing by applying Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning algorithms to define the response to radiotherapy treatment and personalize the therapeutic path.
Results
The expected result of the project is to create a demonstrator of a DSS useful for the better characterization of brain metastases, for the definition of the response to radiotherapy treatment and the personalization of the therapeutic path.
